The paper deals with methodology of CAPP systems based on Group technology utilising. Disadvantages of current CAPP system based on Group technology consist in quantity of interventions during modifying of process plan. There is not expert support to help at modifying of process plan. The new approach consists in parametrization of process plan solves disadvantage of Group technology. The parametrization is implements between part features and process operations and parametrization between part features and machine equipment. Parametrizing in process planning gives higher intelligence to CAPP system.

Factors of nearby environs are knowledge and axiomatic equipment and definition of singular goals and restrictions of designed manufacturing system. As theoretical base is used constructive theory of systems and theoretical conclusions of knowledge engineering.

For a simulation of robot is needed the information about the dimension and the character of his kinematic elements. After the simplification of complex simulation problem was encountered following main sub-tasks: determination of kinematic structure end points in the space, 3D representation of individual robot components on the computer screen, interpolation solution for robot 3D movement, problem of program editing in special language, its writing, saving, loading and execution of the simulation. For the robot component representation was used polygonal bodies.

In this paper we present the own CAPP system. The design system for creation of the technological progresses works in environment of AutoCAD R14. The system co-operates with original commands of AutoCAD, applications and programming language AutoLISP; it uses pull-down offer and toolbar, which designed for this system. System creates drawing technological progress in advance draw-manufacturing documentation in AutoCAD with computer aided.

A technological project of workplace is a fairly busy activity which expects professional knowledge, large number of input information and knowledge of standards, rudders, directives. Our research team solves the problems related to automation of technological workplace design by means of an expert system. This expert system will increase project quality and cut down the time of project processing. The knowledge base and inference net of the system are based on the model of main activities related to design of workplace. The methods and procedures are included in processing knowledge base and rudders and standards are included in the database part of the knowledge base. A control program leads a designer from the setting of the task to its accomplishment.

Disadvantage of these systems is high price and hardware exacting. Besides commercial there is possible use specialised systems which are designed for concrete user conditions. To these specialised systems we can line up the system EDBTS 11 created by workers of Faculty of Production Technologies TU Presov. This system is designed for control program creating of BTS11 control system, which serves for controlling of slotting and baking positioning devices.

The computer aided design, analysis, control and simulation of robotized workcells are very interesting in this time. Necessity of computer adhesion for design, animation, analysis and programming of robots and automated workcell is not misgiving. Together exists general spectrum CAD product only for design, 3D animation and commercial presentation, for example: CATIA, I-DEAS, UNIGRAPHICS, Pro/ENGINEER, EUCLID, etc. On the other side we can find special software, which we can use for this purpose, too. There are unique PC based analytical and simulation programming systems, for example: IGRIP (Deneb Robotics), ROBSCAD (ISRA), ROBOT-SIM (General Electric), ROBCAD (Technomatix), ROBEX (RWTH Aachen), KUSIM (Kuka Robotics), etc.
